Viral video: Can You See Me?’ Toddler sees Clearly For First Time
Video recorded by Magen Luster on March 8 shows her 16-month-old son named Keaton, whose “vision is – 7.0 in both eyes,” at the Texas Eye Institute trying out his new glasses.
“Ever since he was born, we noticed that he would go cross-eyed,” Luster told Storyful. “Around his check up at 15 months, we noticed that his eyes still were not able to focus.”
After being referred to a pediatric ophthalmologist, Luster found out that her son was “very nearsighted and could not see more than an inch from his face.”
“His world was completely blurry,” Luster said.
In the video, Keaton is seen wearing prescription glasses for the first time. After looking stunned for a few seconds, the little boy turns to look at his mother.
“What do you think? Can you see me?” Luster asks her son in the video, who breaks out in an astonished smile and points towards her.
“Hopefully soon he will be walking and getting to explore the world more clearly,” Luster added. Credit: Magen Luster via Storyful
