The FDA approved updated software for the Spectralis retinal imaging platform, according to a press release from Heidelberg Engineering.
The update enables a 250 kHz scan speed for OCT angiography (OCTA), “complementing the existing 85 kHz and 125 kHz scan speeds.”
The faster scan speed “can be meaningful for practices where efficiency and patient experience are essential to the daily workflow,” Holger Ruchatz, head of product management at Heidelberg Engineering, told Healio.
